Big stage show inside Wembley Arena for Flame

A brief overview of what's happening at Flame 2017 at London's SSE Arena in Wembley. There's a surprise item that isn't mentioned below but promises to be poignant and very moving.

A talented group of friends who want to be inspired and to inspire others to connect with the heart of God through music, worship, service others and being creative.


Flame Begins

Programme runs from 12 midday to 5pm.


Talk: Mike Pilavachi

Founder of Soul Survivor - a movement that puts on a range of events for young people, youth leaders, and the whole church, to help people deepen their relationship with Jesus and grow in the ministry and power of the Holy Spirit.


Talk: Cardinal Bo

The Cardinal Archbishop of Yangon, Myanmar, is a Salesian and will talk about his country's struggles and how the youth were a beacon of light in the darkness.



A break for just over an hour.


Music: Matt Redman

An internationally renowned, multiple grammy-winning singer/songwriter and worship leader whose song '10,000 reasons' is the inspiration behind this year's theme.


Talk: CAFOD volunteers Leah and Ryan

Films, presentations and testimonies exploring how young people are tackling and learning about poverty and injustice in the world.


Talk: Fr Augusto Zampini Davies

Theological Adviser to CAFOD, Fr Augusto comes from the same city as Pope Francis - Argentina's capital Buenos Aires. He worked on the Encyclical Laudato 'si and will encourage us to work together to follow Jesus’ style of listening to the cries of the poor to build a better world - a proper common home for us and for future generations.



A 25-minute break to recharge the batteries ahead of Adoration.



Cardinal Vincent Nichols will lead 10,000 young people in Adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
