Prayer

Prayer for Evangelisation

Whilst it's important to do all we can to help those we love and care for to have an encounter with the person of Jesus Christ, it's brought to life through the Holy Spirit touching their lives in some way. This is not an excuse to sit back and give up, but to get more involved. It's a call to prayer.

Prayer is the cornerstone of our faith. We can pray for confidence to step out and share our faith with others or to ask God who he wants us to reach with his Good News.

Even if we're not able to consider these things, it's vital to pray for the people we know, love or care for to encounter Christ in some way.

‘Evangelization will never be possible without the action of the Holy Spirit.’
Pope Paul VI – Evangelii Nuntiandi, 75 (Evangelisation in the Modern World)

Resources

We are encouraged to pray, as we normally would in our daily prayer but for evangelisation during this time. To help with this we have created resources that engage with different types of Catholic prayer with a daily prayer intention to reflect upon. You are also welcome to try something new should you want to mark this time in a particular way.

In this section you will find our Thy Kingdom Come prayer resources, the Pentecost Novena, the Daily Prayer of the Church and our Journey with Mary resources.
